Launching for the 2026-2027 school year, LVA provides a flexible, robust educational path while keeping students connected to the trusted LSC community.

Core Program Features

Grade Levels: Specifically designed for students in Grades 9–12.
Curriculum: Utilizing Edmentum Courseware, students engage with rigorous, standards-aligned content that prepares them for college and career success.
Academic Structure: Students are required to complete six credits per semester to stay on track for graduation.
Expert Support: Even in a virtual setting, students are never alone. The academy is facilitated by current LSC staff, providing regular teacher and counselor check-ins to ensure academic and emotional success.

How It Works

To maintain high standards of accountability and engagement, LVA operates with a blend of flexibility and structure:

Daily Engagement: Students are required to log in every day according to the official district calendar.
In-Person Requirements: While daily learning is virtual, students will attend in-person sessions for district-wide and state testing.
Dedicated Graduation: LVA students will celebrate their achievements with a special graduation ceremony distinct from the traditional high school commencement.
